ACC can be an expensive insurance cover for self-employed business people when compared to private insurance. Additionally ACC will only cover you for accidents and not illnesses. Also, if currently have Income Protection Insurance, and suffer an accident; you potentially will only receive one or the other benefits, even though you are paying for both.
